SILGA is a Spanish consulting company specialized in engineering projects, mainly focused on civil, industrial and building structures. SILGA was established in 1989 around a small but highly specialized group of professionals with experience in structural projects. Initially SILGA was created by José Ramón González de Cangas (civil Eng. PhD. Professor of Structures at the University of Cantabria, Spain), Domingo Lorenzo Esperante (civil Eng. PhD. Professor of Concrete Structures at the University of Cantabria, Spain), and José Antonio Crespo Martínez (civil Eng., MSc).
Since then, SILGA has grown both in human and material resources in order to meet the clients’ requirements with the highest level of excellence. SILGA has integrated procedures according to quality and environmental management systems following ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, and it is certified by BM TRADA CERTIFICATION LTD.
SILGA provides its experience in general civil engineering projects, specialized in structures, which can be classified as:
- Road and railway bridges (including High Speed Rail).
- Industrial buildings: Water treatment plants, power stations.
- Facilities: Underground parkings, congress halls, office buildings.
- Underground structures: Subways. Metro stations. Cut-and-cover structures.
